Colorado Meet

In the spring semester, midshipmen on the Endurance Team, Knowledge Team, and Color Guard travel to the University of Colorado, Boulder, to compete against NROTC units from across the nation. In 2020, UC Berkeley finished 3rd overall, with the Knowledge Team placing 1st, and the Endurance Team placing 2nd.

Tri-Service Ball

The Tri-Service Ball brings together midshipmen, cadets, active duty staff, and other guests for a celebratory evening featuring an inspiring guest speaker from the military or political sphere, a formal dinner, and presentations honoring the graduating classes from the Navy, Air Force, and Army ROTC programs.

Notre Dame Naval Leadership Weekend

Select midshipmen from NROTC UC Berkeley joined midshipmen from over 40 NROTC units at the University of Notre Dame’s annual Naval Leadership Weekend. They attended lectures given by the Navy’s officer and enlisted leadership, enjoyed panel discussions with junior officers, and discussed challenges facing midshipmen and junior officers with their peers from around the nation.

Tri-Service Parade and Awards Ceremony

The Tri-Service Parade and Awards Ceremony brings together the midshipmen, cadets, and active duty staff of UC Berkeley’s ROTC programs with the Berkeley community to celebrate and recognize the achievements of the future military officers in academics, leadership, and esprit de corps.

Nimitz Lecture Series     View previous speakers

The annual Fleet Admiral Chester W. Nimitz Memorial Lectureship in National Security Affairs brings to the University of California, Berkeley, a distinguished scholar, military professional, or government official for a series of lectures on national security subjects. In much the same fashion as a Regents Professor, the Nimitz Lecturer participates with students and faculty of the many departments and programs at Berkeley that study national security...
